Wallet Pass Extension for NFTs: surfacing tokens as Apple Wallet / Google Wallet passes

A product designer has proposed an ERC-721 extension, IERC721WalletPass, that surfaces NFTs as Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes, featuring a passURI function that returns a JSON manifest and PassUpdate events for state changes. The proposal includes normative security rules such as unguessable capability URLs that rotate on transfer and the requirement that holding a pass must not count as owning the token. A working implementation is live on a public testnet, and the author is seeking community feedback before submitting a draft EIP to the ethereum/ERCs repository.
