Three feature-gated upgrades began activating on Solana mainnet the week of August 17, including a 90% rent reduction and 3.3-fold larger transactions. The upgrades also introduce staged slot time cuts from 400ms toward 200ms. Together they mark Solana's biggest infrastructure shift since Firedancer reached mainnet.
