SEC regulatory proposal marks ‘important’ step forward from ‘inapt’ crypto rules: Commissioner Peirce
SEC Commissioner Hester M. Peirce said the agency's new regulatory proposal marks a significant step forward from the 'inapt' rules previously applied to crypto, toward clear, sensible, and enforceable rules for crypto offerings. She stated that a whole generation has struggled with the SEC's insistence on applying those rules to crypto. SEC Chairman Paul S. Atkins also praised the initiative, per a statement released on Tuesday.
